Start with what is actually happening.
No huge science lesson. Just the bit that makes the rest of your cycle make more sense.
Your period is not just the week you bleed
It's actually the final scene of something your body has been 'working' on all month.
Which explains quite a lot. Here you can explore
what a period actually is, why your mood shifts, and what the hell is happening inside your body (it's a lotβ¦).
Your body is resetting.
If pregnancy has not happened, the uterus sheds the lining it built during the cycle. Blood and tissue leave your body β that is your period.
Usually a few days.
In this guide, Period mode covers roughly days 1β5, while bleeding itself can commonly last around 3β7 days. Your exact pattern can be different.
The next mode starts loading.
As bleeding eases, oestrogen begins to rise again and the follicular part of the cycle gets going.
Disclaimer: There's no 'right' way to feel. No 'perfect' way to have a period. No version of you that you're supposed to be all the time.
