✨ About us

Girls should grow up confident in their bodies, not confused by them.

Girls' don't need 'more' health information. There's already a LOT of it. We need to get better at translating it into something that actually makes sense in the context of real life.

Without an explanation, it can be:

🥱 “Why am I suddenly so tired?”
🤤 “Why am I starving today?”
🙃 “Why do I feel completely different to last week?”
😳 “Why is my body doing THAT?”
🥺 “Is something wrong with me?”

But with the right explanation, that becomes:

💁‍♀️ “Ahhh. My body is doing THAT”

🫡 Our mission

Girls have access to more information than ever before...

There’s no shortage of health and wellbeing information out there. The problem? Most of it sounds like it was written for someone who already understands it. Girls don’t need more complicated words thrown at them. They need someone to translate what those words actually mean for their body, their brain and their real life.

Because nobody should have to wait until something feels wrong to finally learn how their body works. We want to get there earlier. We turn periods, hormones, body changes, food, movement and all the slightly awkward bits of growing up into language girls actually use, understand and relate to.

How we work

Textbook Terminology ➔ Girl Talk

🧠
We work out what the hell is actually happening. We make information easier to understand by translating it into relatable examples and explanations (without stripping out what matters).
💬
We translate it into real-life language.Less textbook terminology. More “what does this actually look like on a Tuesday morning?”
🩷
We educate, not humiliate. You can't know what you don't know.
📱
We make it exciting and engaging.Phone modes, apps, group chats, notifications and visual metaphors make confusing terms easier to remember.
🌷
Built for girls, by girls.Girl talk first, but useful for any woman, man, parent, brother, dad, uncle, carer or teacher. The goal is to make it easier for everyone to understand.

Understanding something can completely change how you interpret it.

Girls deserve education that’s accurate, relatable and actually exciting. Education that teaches them to appreciate what their bodies can do, instead of obsessing over how they look.

Our bodies are doing extraordinary things 24/7. The education should match them. That’s what we want to change 🩷

Make it make sense.

Without an explanation, it can be:

“Why am I suddenly so tired?”
“Why am I starving today?”
“Is something wrong with me?” 😰

Make it feel like real life.

It's easier to understand something when you can picture yourself in a similar situation.

With the right explanation, that becomes: “Ohhh. THAT's what my body's doing” 💁‍♀️

Make it exciting.

Your body is your home, but learning about it shouldn't feel like homework.

Less textbook. More “wait, show me that!” 👀

A bit about me

Founder, yes.
Actual human girl, also yes.

🐶
Pip has senior management status. Her remit remains unclear but morale would collapse without her.
🎨
I care about how things feel.Copy, UX, visuals, tiny details. If something is useful but miserable to use, I want to fix that.
💡
I collect ideas constantly.Rerein has grown through weird analogies, conversations, screenshots, notes and a lot of “wait… what if we did it like this?”

Be part of something bigger

We’re only just getting started.

Periods. Hormones. Body changes. Body image. Food. Movement. Growing up. Rerein isn't something I'm building for one age, one moment or one conversation.

I'm interested in the whole experience of growing up and living in a female body. The questions change. The body changes. Life changes. But the need to understand yourself doesn't disappear.

My ambition is for Rerein to grow alongside the people who use it. Education, technology, conversations, tools, experiences and things I probably haven't thought of yet. We're at the beginning. And I'm very excited about where this could go.
